Interested and want to know more? Let’s delve into more details…
At My Flight Academy, we don’t claim to be the best on the market, we recognize the merits of many existing programs… our format is just different.
This program was created with one goal in mind: to serve students and pilots, not our own interests. Thatβs why weβve tailored a unique program specifically for VFR operations, incorporating visual, audio, and reading materials to cater to everyone from sport pilots to commercial aviators. We call it the VFR Course!
The reason we don’t sell separate programs for each pilot certificate typeβsport, recreational, PPL, and CPLβis that, in the sky, the level of your license doesnβt change the general rules you must follow or the risks you encounter. This foundational knowledge is crucial for all pilots; therefore, we believe that a Private Pilot should be as knowledgeable as a Commercial Pilot. However, each certificate does vary in privileges and limitations, as well as FAA written test requirements, so we’ve got you covered. Our program includes everything you need to be fully prepared for each certificate. And to ensure you keep your knowledge fresh, your access is for life. And if youβre curious about IFR operations, we’re excited to announce that we’re actively developing that program and will launch it soon.
Now, before enrolling in any ground school or flight program, there are crucial aspects to consider to ensure the best possible learning experienceβone that not only meets your needs but also matches your learning style. Letβs explore the extensive, engaging curriculum we offer, designed in a unique format that we hope you’ll love.
Our course is straightforward and easy to navigate, designed to adapt seamlessly across all devices: phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and TVs.
After logging in, you’ll land at the main menu, which displays the various topics or chapters we cover. These are arranged in a specific sequence to maximize your learning efficiency.
As you progress, each chapter gradually introduces more complex concepts while reinforcing previousΒ Β Β lessons.
Each chapter is broken down into manageable lessons, designed to focus your attention and prevent overwhelm.
Try it out with the lesson below on Airport Signs & Markings! Explore the different functionalities and elements by clicking on all the icons and links… and see how well it suits you!
Read PHAK chapter 14: Airport Operations
Airport Categories (14-1 to 14-3)
Sources for Airport Data (14-3 to 14-5)
Airport Markings & Signs (14-5 to 14-16)
The sequence of chapters in our course is carefully designed to help you progressively acquire knowledge. Each chapter builds on the previous one, ensuring a thorough understanding of all concepts essential for aviation training.
The course is divided into 10 chapters:
This extensive curriculum covers everything you need to know to operate an airplane safely and legally. Designed to provide a complete educational experience, it ensures that you are well-prepared to meet the demands of flying with confidence and compliance.
1. Aircraft Systems: Discover how all the basic systems of an airplane work, from the engine to the instruments, demystifying the complex mechanisms that power flight.
2.Β Aerodynamics: Ever wonder how an aircraft flies? Itβs not magic… itβs aerodynamics. We’ll cover all the crucial concepts you need to understand how an airplane moves through the air.
3. Performance & Limitations: Master the critical skill of computing performance numbers essential for safe flying. This chapter simplifies complex calculations, making them accessible to all, regardless of mathematical background.
4. Airport & Traffic Operations: Learn to navigate the bustling environment of airports, understanding the complexities of traffic patterns, ground operations, and safety protocols.
5. Navigation & Flight Planning: Dive deep into the essentials of cross-country flight planning and navigation techniques, using both traditional methods and modern technology.
6. Weather: Gain insights on how weather impacts flying conditions and learn to make informed decisions based on meteorological information.
7. Aeromedical Factors & Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM): Explore how physiological factors affect pilots in flight and develop critical thinking skills to enhance safety through effective decision-making.
8. Special Flight Operations: Learn the procedures and regulations for handling unusual flight operations, including night and instrument flights, high-altitude operations, and emergency situations.
9. Maneuvers: Understand the aerodynamics and environmental challenges associated with various ground references and performance maneuvers for your certificate.
10. Documents & Regulations: Learn the crucial documentation and regulations that govern flight, ensuring compliance and understanding of legal requirements. This includes a thorough review of the privileges and limitations attached to each certificate, as it’s important to know what you are legally permitted to do.
After completing all the chapters, you will move on to our test prep section, which regroup all the questions from the entire course. This is designed to ensure you are fully prepared to excel on your FAA written test!
